West Kalimantan is one of province in Indonesia with 5,3 millions populations. It has total area about 15 million hectares which 8.2 million hectares are forests and 1.6 million hectares are peatlands. Unfortunately, the forests in West Kalimantan had been deforestated and gave bad impact to their community’s economic condition. Therefore, community in West Kalimantan encourage the legality of Hutan Desa scheme to maximize the management potential of natural resources in Bentang Pesisir Padang Tikar.
